The excellence of the CEI meets the innovation of Telemis
The CEI (Centre d'Explorations Isotopiques) group has a strong presence in Brittany (Rennes - Saint-Malo - Saint-Brieuc - Nantes) and has several innovative technical platforms equipped with PET-Scans, Scintigraphies and Scinti-Scanners. These cutting-edge facilities in the world of molecular medicine enable the Group to offer high-quality care with highly accurate diagnoses. The IEC's various nuclear medicine centres are equipped with the latest-generation SPECT-CT hybrid gamma cameras and new PET-CT scanners (Siemens Biograph Vision X), making it easier to analyse examinations and implement innovative protocols.
Telemis is a medical equipment company specialising in PACS/MACS (Picture/Multimedia; Archiving; Communication System) solutions, digital pathology and Business Intelligence solutions for healthcare. These technological solutions are integrated into customers' existing environments and backed up by high-quality local services.
TM-Community: in brief
With over 400 installations in Europe, including 250 in France, inter-site communication is one of Telemis' key strengths. The TM-Community platform ensures the smooth and secure exchange of medical records between hospitals, facilitating tasks such as second opinions and case transfers. These exchanges are carried out via a certified health data hosting (HDS) platform.
How have the Telemis solutions been deployed at the CEI?
Integrating Telemis into the CEI involves several stages:
Data collection: The examination modalities, i.e. the results of examinations such as PET-Scan, Scintigraphy, etc., are generated as part of the medical procedures.
A. Transmission vers "Syngo.via" : Les données collectées sont envoyées vers la plateforme de post-traitement 3D Syngo.via (Siemens Healthineers).
B. Medical interpretation: Once the data has been received by "Syngo.via", it is transmitted to a computer where it is analysed and interpreted by qualified health professionals.
At the same time, another action is taken with the examination procedures.
A. Integration into the PACS: The interpreted data is integrated into the Telemis PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
B. Distribution to doctors: Finally, the data is transferred from the PACS to ‘Venus diffusion’ to enable the doctors concerned to access the results of the examinations and make appropriate medical decisions. The results of medical examinations are collected, transmitted, interpreted and distributed in a specific, highly secure medical environment.

Imaging at the CEI
Why choose TM-Community?
TM-Community is a Telemis solution that enables medical establishments to exchange imaging test results. Its use is by no means limited to the DICOM format; it can be adapted to any multimedia medium (PDF, JPEG, video, ECG, etc.) and therefore to all specialities. There is no storage, only distribution, and all of this is secured via an approved health data host.
The way the system works is based on the principle of postal mail: it is the sender who decides whether to send patient files, examinations or images to another site. This process fits in perfectly with the continuity of care, whether transfers are made manually or automatically from one site to another.

One of the added values of this tool lies in its ability to take the security of medical exchanges to a new level, thanks to the close collaboration between Telemis and local IT Services. The integration of a VPN layer is emerging as a key measure to ensure secure communication with the hosted exchange server, providing essential peace of mind for healthcare professionals.
